Dropping down from Manzanita
you hit this coastal plain around Rockaway Beach
And though you've seen the shore before this point on the way from Seattle
this is where you finally feel separated from home

It's about 7 PM or so…
(…if you're lucky…)
And you're beginning to wonder where you're going to spend the evening
In a room?  It's mid-August - how busy is it on this highway...
...how much competition will I find
Or will it be a night under the stars...
...will I find a campsite

I shoulda planned this better...
